Scott is a determined man and when he decided he was going to attend his high school class reunion, he was DETERMINED to make it happen! With a journey to Minnesota on his mind, Peaceful Hearts Hospice reached out to the Dreamweaver Foundation for assistance with Scott’s Dream, and of course we were happy to oblige.

Not only did Scott attend his high school class reunion, but he was also able to experience a trip home with his two daughters and his grandson. With the goal of making memories, everyone got to work planning Scott’s special journey. As they made their way north to Minnesota, the group enjoyed a musical playlist made especially for their adventure. No trip is complete without a pitstop… and LeMars, Iowa proved to be the perfect place as they indulged in the world-famous Blue Bunny ice cream!

Once in Marshall, Minnesota, Scott wasted no time. He made his way around town and stopped to visit his childhood home. Just down the road, Scott stopped at an old neighbor’s house who he had worked for as a farm hand, some forty years ago. But of course, the purpose of the trip was his high school class reunion – which was simply fantastic! Scott was able to reunite with his former classmates and friends. They reminisced while looking at pictures, talking and laughing about the many memories they shared. Not only did Scott reconnect with old friends, but he even sat next to a friend he used to share a seat with on the bus.

After a long day of traveling and catching up with friends, Scott was ready for some much-needed rest. The events of the day had left him exhausted! Scott slept peacefully – noting it was the best sleep he’d had in weeks. On the way home, they made one last stop to visit Scott’s mother-in-law. When we say that he was determined to attend his high school class reunion, we weren’t exaggerating. Scott said the trip was “everything I dreamed of and more!”

Dreamweaver Foundation is pleased to have helped this determined man realize his Dream of returning home to attend his high school class reunion.
