After many years away from Memorial Stadium, Rich was thrilled to return for the Huskers’ season opener! A lifelong Husker fan, Rich has shared countless football memories and traditions with his sister over the years, so being back in the stadium together made the day even more special.
Even an early morning kickoff couldn’t dampen Rich’s excitement. Dressed in his brand-new Husker gear and ready for a fun day, he soaked in everything he had missed: the sea of red, the cheers from the fans, the energy throughout the stadium, and that unmistakable excitement that comes with the start of a new Husker season.
With temperatures climbing above 100 degrees, the heat certainly brought a challenge, but Rich’s club seats offered a welcome escape in the shade, close to concessions and high enough above the field to catch a refreshing breeze. Most importantly, Rich had the best time surrounded by his sister, brother-in-law, and one of his favorite aides.
As the Huskers battled their way through the season opener, Rich cheered along with the crowd and enjoyed every moment. And then came the perfect ending… a Husker WIN! After so many years away, Rich got to return to a place filled with special memories, create new ones with the people he loves, and celebrate the first victory of the season. It was a football day he’ll remember with a big Husker smile!
