When Marge’s health started to decline there was only one thing she wanted to do, and that was spend her birthday with her entire family. 
When Shannon, Sumner Place Dietitian, learned about Marge’s Dream, he quickly reached out to Dreamweaver Foundation because her 82nd birthday was around the corner!
On Marge’s birthday, all her family gathered to celebrate her: her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, brothers and sisters. Everyone wanted to create this incredible memory for Marge.
Wilderness Ridge Golf Course and Restaurant was the perfect spot to host Marge and over 50 of her family members. The lodge was cozy; it had a Christmas cabin in the mountains feel. But Marge’s party room had a different feel—springy and open as each table was beautifully decorated with her favorite peach flowers.
Marge came to tears when Mary Ann, Dreamweaver volunteer, presented her with a bouquet of flowers, a corsage and her favorite teddy bear. The party began with family photos by Amber Lihs Photography, followed by a delicious sandwich and soup lunch. Of course, a birthday party isn’t a celebration without everyone singing “Happy Birthday” and Marge blowing out a few candles on her birthday cake.
Marge’s daughter, Robin, shared with Dreamweaver Foundation that the day was just “wonderful and beautiful.”
