Fashion has been a part of Margy’s life for as long as she can remember. Her son, Craig, recalls his mom always sewing something or altering a piece of clothing for a friend. She even made wedding dresses for bride’s in town. It didn’t matter what she was sewing, she just enjoyed making something out of nothing.
AseraCare Grand Island wanted to do something special for this Valley View Senior Village resident and enlisted the help of Dreamweaver Foundation to make it happen. With her love for sewing, it’s fitting that her dream was for a shopping spree! Her AseraCare aide, Pat, and Tammy spent the day strolling from shop to shop, enjoying looking at beautiful clothes, shoes and purses. Even purchasing her first pair of jeans! Of course, a shopping spree isn’t complete without a pampering manicure and pedicure. Margy and her gals completed the day with a delicious fish lunch at Red Lobster.
Thank you AseraCare Grand Island, Valley View Senior Village and Valley County Health System transportation for partnering with Dreamweaver Foundation to fulfill Margy’s’ Dream.
