Louise has enjoyed trips to the casino with friends and family for many years. She’s been to many different locations with sparkly lights, fun noises and delicious food. She loves the slot machines and always crosses her fingers for a big win!

When Makenzie from Hillcrest Hospice Care shared that Dreamweaver provides Dreams for seniors, Louise’s daughter Sharron knew exactly what her mother would like to do. Although Louise doesn’t speak much, when Dreamweaver shared they could take her to the casino, her eyes got wide, her smile bright and she excitedly shook her head “yes!”

Her first attempt at the Dream Day was snowed out by wintry Nebraska weather. But she was not discouraged, and the date was simply pushed to the following week. Her new Dream Day was much better and plans were all set.

Louise rode in a wheelchair-accessible van while her family followed behind in the limo. The caravan made their way to Horseshoe Casino in Council Bluffs, Iowa. Greeted by bright lights and sound, Louise and her family were ready for a day of fun.

In her new purple outfit, Louise played the slots, strolled the floor and enjoyed lunch with those she loved most. She even came home with more money than she started with! It was truly a successful day in more ways than one. She was able to make even more special memories at the casino.

Thank you to VIP Limo, Midwest Medical Transport and Horseshoe Casino for making this Dream possible.
