Kenny has always had a special love for big machines, especially firetrucks, construction equipment, and trains. His caregivers have long enjoyed watching his excitement whenever he sees construction trucks outside his home. While finding construction equipment that could visit Kenny proved challenging, Dreamweaver Foundation knew the perfect person to call. Local firefighter and friend Mike was more than happy to bring an educational firetruck right to Kenny and his neighbors!
Kenny was ready for his special visit, proudly wearing a Fire Department T-shirt and construction hat. When Mike pulled the firetruck up to the house, Kenny’s excitement was contagious. He climbed inside the truck, explored the switches and siren, held the fire hose, and even got to put his feet, literally, into a firefighter’s boots. It was a hands-on experience that let Kenny get up close with something he had always loved.
After the firetruck visit, Kenny and his friends celebrated with Runza, cake, and ice cream. And because trains hold a special place in Kenny’s heart, he received a model train to enjoy in his room. It was a wonderful day filled with big trucks, new memories, sweet treats, and all the things that bring a big smile to Kenny’s face.
