Janice has loved cats her entire life. From decorating her room with cat-themed treasures to eagerly asking staff members about their own pet cats, her love for all things feline is impossible to miss. So, when Janice was nominated for a dream and asked what would make her happiest, she knew exactly what she wanted… to be “surrounded by as many cats as possible!”
Dreamweaver Foundation reached out to local nonprofit Felius Cat Café & Rescue to help make Janice’s cat dream come true. The team at Felius was just as excited as Janice to create a truly special experience filled with plenty of whiskers, purrs, and cuddles.
The excitement began even before her dream day arrived. In preparation for her special outing, Janice received cat pajamas, cat socks, a plush cat headband, and a new cat stuffie; because when you love cats as much as Janice does, there is simply no such thing as too many cats!
Finally, the big day arrived. Janice and her aide, Kayla, another fellow cat lover, made their way to Felius with excitement and anticipation. The moment Janice entered the cat café, her smile grew and her heart warmed. There, waiting for her, were 17 rescue cats roaming, playing, climbing, and, most importantly, ready to receive plenty of love and attention.
With tasty drinks from the café in hand, Janice settled in for the experience she had been dreaming about. She spent the afternoon playing with her new feline friends while also enjoying time with the special people there to share the day with her. Janice was absolutely on cloud nine when, at one point, she had four cats climbing on her and competing for her attention, pets, and cuddles. For someone who had wished to be surrounded by as many cats as possible, it was truly a dream come true!
From the cat-themed gifts and the warm welcome at Felius to the playful rescue cats climbing into her lap, Janice’s day was filled with happiness from beginning to end. She was surrounded by cats, laughter, friendship, and love, the very things that made her heart happiest. It is safe to say Janice’s dream was absolutely purr-fect!
