Don has been an active sports fan his entire life. That enthusiasm led him to many years of coaching his children’s baseball and basketball teams. Now retired from both work and his coaching duties, this avid fan has even more time to watch all the sports he enjoys so much. For his Dream, Don wanted to attend the Men’s College World Series (CWS) tournament which is held in Omaha each summer. So, the Dream team got to work.
On one of those typical smoldering hot June days in Nebraska, Don eagerly made his way to Charles Schwab Field to watch game eleven, between Louisiana State University and Texas Christian University. Prior to entering the stadium, Don made a quick stop by the Union Pacific locomotive to capture a photo. Don is a man of few words, but while watching the game he provided commentary with a big smile on his face. He has many fond memories of taking his children to games at the old Rosenblatt stadium back in the day and he thoroughly enjoyed watching another CWS series game at the much newer Charles Schwab Field.
During the game, Don was gifted a special treat from the Director of Ticketing, Carol Foreman, who graciously provided Don with a VIP guest package. In the package, Don received a College World Series polo shirt and ball cap, a baseball, a special CWS wallet and other fun CWS gear.
