It had been a long time since Dawn had the opportunity to lay on the beach, soak up the sun’s rays, and listen to the sound of ocean waves. When she was nominated for a Dream with Dreamweaver, her best friend, Katie knew exactly what would lift Dawn’s spirits… a trip to the beach! When asked who she’d like to travel to Florida with, Dawn knew that Katie needed to be there with her. After all, they have been friends for many years.
Once Dawn and Katie arrived in the Sunshine State, they made their way to the Hyatt Regency Clearwater Beach resort where they were staying for three nights. Their hotel room had a large balcony with a view of the ocean. They enjoyed exploring the shops in Clearwater Beach and spending time at Pier60. Dawn recalls her favorite memory of Clearwater Beach was to watch the sun set over the Gulf of Mexico. The friends took photos together and shared many laughs. Clearwater Beach was just what Dawn needed to relax and recharge.
The next leg of their trip took them to the RumFish Beach Resort in St. Petersburg. While Dawn and Katie did explore the area, their favorite thing to do was spend time lounging at the pool or walking along the beach. Dawn’s favorite meal in Florida was lobster tail and her favorite drink to sip was a chocolate mudslide.
Being able to get away from the Midwest and spend a week in Florida was good for her soul. Dawn was grateful that her friend Katie nominated her for a Dream and that they were able to explore Florida together. The Dream team was happy to have helped Dawn get the relaxation she dreamed about.
