Cindy is a mother of three, nana to a beautiful granddaughter and best friend to her mother.  Cindy’s family has always held a very high importance to her.

When her husband died at 36 years old, raising her family became her sole priority.  Cindy worked full-time, driving kids to many activities, cooking meals and cleaning the house.  She always put her family first.

Besides her family, Cindy also has a love for lighthouses.  For a reason she is not sure, Cindy has loved lighthouses and anything nautical since she was a young girl. Cindy remembers being excited to own a home so she was able to decorate with lighthouses and a nautical theme.  Today, she has several lighthouses around her home; her bathroom is even decorated with lighthouses! For years, she has dreamt to go on an East Coast cruise to see the amazement of lighthouses.  However, finding time to travel was nearly impossible.

In 2015, Cindy learned she was in renal failure.  And for months, she was in and out of the hospital.  During this time, Cindy was staying with her 81 year-old mother, Stella. Cindy and her mother have always been close, but became very close during this time, even calling one another best friends.

Cindy receives dialysis treatment several times a week at DaVita Dialysis.  On most days, Stella, keeps her daughter company.  During one of her treatments, Stella started chatting with Tammy, another dialysis patient.  Tammy just fulfilled her Dream of visiting family in Virginia.  She listened to Stella talk about her daughter and knew Cindy deserved to fulfill her Dream too.  Tammy knew just who to call, Dreamweaver Foundation!

Travel and Transport helped Dreamweaver plan the logistics for a trip to Boston and a Lighthouse Brunch Cruise to celebrate Cindy’s 60th birthday.

There was only one person Cindy wanted to take on her Dream; her best friend, her mom.  Cindy and Stella arrived to Eppley Airfield in style curtesy of VIP Limo.  They enjoyed touring the history of Boston and eating all the New England Clam Chowder, but the real highlight was viewing the lighthouses.

Dreamweaver Foundation would like to thank VIP Limo, DaVita Dialysis, and Travel and Transport for helping us make Cindy’s Dream come true.
