Alice and her late husband loved to travel to new destinations by way of the train. They went to St. Louis, South Dakota and Tahoe was their favorite by far. They loved seeing the countryside on the way to their destination….it was like a couple vacations wrapped up into one. It had always been Alice’s and Patrick’s Dream to travel to Chicago, seeing the tall buildings and popular sites. Unfortunately, Patrick became ill and was unable to travel.
Over the last few years since her husband’s passing, Alice is battling her own cancer. Judeen from Nebraska Med heard about Alice’s and Patrick’s dream to visit Chicago and knew just who to contact to make this dream happen for Alice.
Alice was in disbelief when she heard Dreamweaver Foundation was fulfilling her dream to visit Chicago. Of course, the only way to get to Chicago was by way of the train. After a couple weeks of planning, Alice and her sister, Rita, were off! After a nine-hour train ride (only delayed by a couple hours!), they were finally in Chi-Town!
The girls spent three days eating their way through the city! In between, restaurants they toured the Shedd Aquarium, Adler Planetarium and shopped ‘til they dropped. Alice was in awe by the skyscrapers and beautiful architecture. They saw so many attractions in just a few days, but there was still much more to see. Alice and Rita hope they can visit Chicago again.
“It was a great trip. Thank you so much. I really enjoyed it and blessed to have this”.
Thank you VIP Limo, Nebraska Med, and Travel and Transport for partnering with us to fulfill Alice’s Dream.
